If Minitab 16 does not automatically launch as expected, you may need to specify the license file needed to run the software.
 

To specify the license file:

1. Install and launch the Minitab software.
2. If prompted to specify the License Manager or choose a file, choose Specify the License File.
3. Browse to the license file minitab.lic located by default in the C:\Program Files\Minitab\Minitab 16 folder on your machine.

   Note If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, the minitab.lic file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Minitab\Minitab16.

4. Click the Open button.
5. To launch the software, click the OK button.
